Implant Dentist Charlotte NC ~ Implant Crown Front Tooth

Dental Implants have become one of the best ways to replace a missing tooth.  The implant acts as a post or a root replacement so a crown or implant bridge can be connected.  Once this is done you do not remove the crown or implant bridge….its as close to a real tooth as you can get today.

My patient comes in with her front tooth broken at the gum line.  There is still the root of the tooth in place that will have to be extracted before the dental implant can be inserted.

The dental implant is placed after the root is extracted.  In this case there was enough bone left to place the implant the same day the tooth was extracted.  There was also enough stability of the implant to place the abutment(post that comes through the gum) to support a temporary crown.  The temporary crown is made so when you close it does not touch; an important part in allowing the implant to heal into the bone.  This also allow the gum tissue to mold around the abutment.

Temporary screw secured crown that will be placed.  I created this the same day chairside out of temporary crown material.

Temporary crown created and screwed into the implant.

Final 2 months later

2 months later impressions are taken to make a custom abutment(post) and the final porcelain implant crwon.  Here the final crown is in place.

final x-ray with the custom implant abutment and crown.  Good bone stability is around the implant that was placed the day of extraction.

This type of implant dentistry can be done for multiple missing teeth for an implant bridge.  That way adjacent teeth do not need to be shaved down for crowns to support the missing tooth.

There are many implant dentistry solutions that can be offered.  I suggest you consider coming in for a evaluation to see if dental implants can be the right solution for you.

Dental Implant Teeth Charlotte NC

Missing all your teeth?  Do you not wear your denture?  One solution is to have dental implants placed by Dr. Paresh to hold in your fixed teeth.

Upper Jaw with no teeth left.  Who would want to spend the rest of their life without teeth or not being able to wear their denture?

2

My same patient's lower jaw.  You can see how skinny the jaw becomes when there are no teeth or dental implant to help keep bone and gum tissue in place.

Fortunately at our office near Charlotte we have a 3D CT xray machine.  With that dental implants can be accurately planned to help as anchors for fixed porcelain crowns.

Multi unit abutments

Dental Implants placed by Dr. Paresh for an all on 4 dental implant type solution.  In this case there was enough bone to place 6 dental implants to support a screw retained set of porcelain crowns.

The same solution was done on the lower jaw as well; an all on 4 concept.  Once again enough bone was found on the CT x ray to allow for 6 dental implants to be placed.

Plastic PMMA temporary crowns are placed over the dental implants to verify esthetics.

Final custom posts are placed over the implants in the lower jaw to help hold the porcelain crowns.

Implant Dentistry a Great Way to Replace Missing Teeth with OCO Mini One Piece Dental Implants

If you are missing one or more teeth, dental implants are a cost effective way to replace them with fixed crowns or bridges.  With the advent of the mini dental implant and the one piece traditional size dental implants you now can have teeth back once again.

It looks like a wide ridge with plenty of bone.  But with a 3D i-CAT scan we see something different.

Slide3

The ridge of bone is only 3.0mm wide at the top.  Choices are to widen the bone, flatten it a bit (both of these would require a bit more surgery and healing time).  Or to consider using a one piece mini dental implant by OCO Biomedical.

A OCO 3.0mm one piece mini dental implant was selected and placed with no surgical flap of gum tissue and minimal trauma to the area.
